5 Things to Know Before Traveling to Mexico City

If you’re planning a trip to Mexico City, here are 5 things you’ll want to know.

1. Mexico is open to travelers

A negative test and/or quarantine is not required for entry

2. A negative PCR and/or antigen test is required for those traveling back to the U.S.

Your hotel may be able to set up testing on your behalf - This option may cost more, but the convenience was worth it *A negative test is no longer required to enter the U.S. effective June 12, 2022. Read the media statement from the CDC here.*

3. Check to see if you can load your results to the airline’s site ahead of your departure for approval to check-in

*This saved so much time at the airport*

4. Exchange USD for Pesos

Our hotel and some surrounding restaurants accepted USD and gave change in Pesos *we didn’t carry large bills or large quantities of either currency*

5. You’ll want to know some Spanish
