Inspired by Founders First CEO, Kim Folsom’s brother, U.S. Navy Veteran Stephen L. Tadlock, the $25,000 fund will make investments of $1,000 each to 25 veterans who are running employer-based small businesses across the country.
Founders First CDC's mission is solve the economic equity gaps that impact growth in small, minority-owned, employer-based businesses by providing training, grants and resources to support their growth to their communities.
Since 2015, they have helped accelerate the success of hundreds of small, service-based, B2B companies. The companies they support are run by owners who are committed to making an impact in their communities, as small employer based businesses, but have experience challenges achieving financial mobility because of lack of know-how, growth resources or connections. They have a focus on empowering these groups with skills, resources and networks to help them access growth capital.
