  • PepsiCo Juntos Crecemos Grant Program for Small Businesses in Food & Beverage | $10,000

    Who: Must be a woman-owned business, a legal resident of one of the fifty United States, the District of Columbia, or Puerto Rico, Deadline: September 27, 2024 In partnership with Hello Alice, PepsiCo’s Juntos Crecemos program is a component of PepsiCo’s broader $50 million comprehensive support for small businesses in the food and beverage industry over five years. Through PepsiCo’s Juntos Crecemos Grant Program, twenty (20) grants of $10,000 each will be awarded to small business owners in the food and beverage industry. Grant recipients will also be awarded with acceptance into PepisCo’s Juntos Crecemos Program: Jefa-Owned Business Health Accelerator and Boost Camp, a digital community space which will be home to monthly business coaching workshops, mentorship, networking and more.   • HerRise Grant for Minority Woman-Owned Small Business | $1,000

    Who: Must be woman-owned business, must be registered in the U.S. Deadline: Applications are due on the last day of each month The HerRise Micro-Grant provides financial assistance, with the help of corporate sponsors and donors, to women of color creating innovative solutions that impact their community and that are often unable to secure funding for their small business . Apply for the HerRise MicroGrant by sharing your business pitch and plan in the application. Every month the committee selects a winner from submitted applications. Apply by 11:59pm on the last day of the month to be eligible for that month. Winners will be revealed at the next month’s HerSuiteSpot First Friday Mixer. You do not have to be present to be selected. HerSuiteSpot is a digital platform + membership community providing business training and business coaching to women of color founders, startups, side hustlers and small business owners that enables them develop their business plans, build their brands, reach their goals, increase their revenue and get access to funding. The Yva Jourdan Foundation, the nonprofit arm of HerSuiteSpot, raises money to help Women of Color entrepreneurs gain access to the coaching, community and capital they need to take their businesses to the next level.   • Small Business Improvement Grant (New Jersey) | up to $50,000

    Who: Must be a small business or nonprofit, must rent or own facility being improved Deadline: No deadline, on-going The Small Business Improvement Grant provides reimbursement for costs associated with making building improvements or purchasing new furniture, fixtures and equipment. A total of $60 million of Main Street Recovery Finance Program funding will be utilized to capitalize the Small Business Improvement Grant. 40 percent will be reserved for businesses and nonprofits located in Opportunity Zone eligible census tracts. Applications will be accepted on a rolling basis until funding is exhausted. The NJEDA has received a significant number of applications for the Small Business Improvement Grant. Please note this program is receiving a high volume of applications.  Expected time for processing is 8 months from application date. Please be advised, New Jersey State law prohibits most cannabis license and certification holders from receiving or continuing to receive an economic incentive from the NJEDA, including the Small Business Improvement Grant.  If the applicant, or any person who controls the applicant or owns or controls more than one percent of the stock of the applicant, has applied for or received a license or a certification from the New Jersey Cannabis Regulatory Commission (NJ-CRC), the applicant is ineligible for this program and should not proceed with an application.  If an application is received from an applicant that meets this criteria, the application will be declined.  Evaluation Criteria | Small Business Improvement Grant (New Jersey) All applicants must meet the following criteria: Rent or own and operate from facility. Meet SBA definition of a Small Business – determined by employee count and NAICS code. Project cost must be at least $5,000. Project must have commenced on or after March 9, 2020 and within the 2 years prior to your application date. Payment must have been made within the 2 years prior to your application date. Provide a current tax clearance certificate prior to approval. Be in good standing with Department of Labor and Department of Environmental Protection. Certify at time of application that they are not in default of any other EDA or State assistance. Certify at application the applicant is willing to pay wages that are the greater of $15/hour or 120% of the minimum wage rate. Businesses and nonprofits may be reimbursed for capital improvements, or purchase and/or installation of new furniture, fixtures, and equipment. Landlords are not eligible. Applicants are limited to one application per federal Employer Identification Number (EIN) . Applicants operating from multiple locations under a single EIN would be limited to one application under the sole EIN, but may pool project costs from multiple locations into a single application.     Who: Must be a small business Deadline: Rolling - Monthly The Freed Fellowship helps small business owners get the resources, mentorship, and community they need to build successful companies that make an impact. Every month, they give one $500 grant to a business owner in the US to invest in their existing business. No strings attached. Another terrace hosts Bar Shima, a stylish lounge that overlooks the pool and serves creative cocktails alongside a curated selection of world-class wines. Santeka's Taste Test | Did it Pass? Shima Restaurant is an absolute must-visit! The food and service were outstanding. I dined there with a group of friends and we were seated in the main dining room. The atmosphere was incredibly romantic, with soft lighting and cozy seating that created a soothing ambiance. If you're planning to order drinks, appetizers, and a main course, expect to spend around $150 for two people. We stayed until closing and then headed downstairs to Yellowbell for drinks. I highly recommend this restaurant for an unforgettable dining experience, a romantic dinner, or a special occasion like an anniversary, birthday, or farewell dinner. It was, without a doubt, the best restaurant we experienced during our trip. Nesbitt's isn’t a fancy, upscale restaurant, but that's part of its charm. It's the kind of place you'd find back home—your favorite diner, a cozy hole-in-the-wall, or a friendly local mom-and-pop eatery. The atmosphere is relaxed and comfortable, making it the perfect spot for a casual meal. The restaurant is clean and well-kept, and we were pleased with the good customer service and quick food delivery. We visited on a Saturday afternoon when it wasn’t too crowded, so our food came out in no time. While they did run out of a few items during our visit, it wasn’t a big issue, as the menu has so many other delicious options to choose from. If you're looking for a place that offers a hearty meal at an affordable price, Nesbitt’s is the place to go—you’ll definitely get the most bang for your buck here. It’s a true local gem that’s perfect for a relaxed, satisfying meal without breaking the bank. For the third year in a row, Fifteen Percent Pledge is partnering with Shop with Google to provide $250,000 in grant funding to unlock the next horizon of growth for three Black-owned businesses. The winner of the Achievement Award will also receive mentoring and pro-bono consulting services from industry leaders. All awardees will receive complimentary tickets to their 2025 Gala.
